The Writer’s Bug organises literary and creative events and collaborates with organisations and institutions to program events for them. These are a few events that we have either conducted or have had the pleasure to be a part of:
Weaving Tales, in association with Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum, Byculla - The Writer’s Bug has tied up with Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum (Byculla, Mumbai) for a series of creative writing workshops for children with themes inspired by the museum exhibits. The museum, the oldest in Mumbai, has a wealth of history and art on display and this collaboration is our joint effort to give an immersive experience to children at the museum. The first workshop of the series was conducted by renowned children’s author, Deepak Dalal, on 30th August 2015. Watch this space for the next of the series.
100 Thousand Poets for Change (2015, 2014) - This global poetry festival is back to celebrate its fifth year in Mumbai and The Writer’s Bug is very excited to bring this opportunity again this year to the children to showcase their poetry writing skills. This festival brings communities together to call for environmental, social and political changes within the framework of peace and sustainability.
